How Agents Integrate into the Paradigm Platform to Automate Complex Tasks

TL;DR

What is an Agent?

An agent is an autonomous assistant that has access to various tools. Based on the user's request, the agent independently decides which tools are most suitable for the task and uses them efficiently. This process requires the agent to understand the task at hand, identify the necessary tools, and apply them in the correct order.

Agents are Coming to Paradigm!

For several months, our engineers have been working on implementing these agents. Here’s a preview of what will soon appear in Paradigm for our clients.

Option 1: Let the agent select the most relevant tool

In this example, the user asks about the impacts and risks of generative AI without specifying that the question is about their company. The agent decides to respond based on its training corpus without using the company's internal documentation.

When the user asks a follow-up question specifically about the impact on their company, the agent decides to use the internal documentation to contextualize its response and justify it with sourced extracts.

Option 2: The user specifies which tool to use

The user wants the response to be based on the company’s internal documentation and explicitly states this constraint in the question. The agent understands this request and uses only the tool indicated by the user.
Our intelligent agent can help you find the necessary document within seconds by using machine learning techniques to analyze both the metadata and content of the document.

Visibility on Upcoming features

Paradigm will integrate a variety of tools to meet the different needs of enterprises for automating tasks. Each tool can be associated with an agent, which will be customized according to the workspace and task force requirements.

Example:
The HR agent will be configured to adapt to the employees’ questions at LightOn. This agent has access to documents defined by the workspace manager and will be restricted to internal company documents. It will not access the web, ensuring that all the information it provides is validated by the HR department and is based solely on internal documents.

Preview of the New Tools Coming Soon

Here are some of the tools that will be available with our new feature:

  • Web Search: Launch an internet search to get up-to-date information or information outside the company’s documents (e.g., "What is Nvidia's current stock price?").
  • Document Analyzer: Advanced document analysis to extract key information (e.g., "According to these 4 documents, what is an agent?").
  • Document Comparison: Compare documents to identify similarities and differences (e.g., "Among these market analyses on generative AI, what are the key differences?").
  • Summarization: Automatic document summarization to give you an overview (e.g., "Summarize this financial report into bullet points").

We are excited to present this innovative new feature that will revolutionize the way you work. If you would like to learn more about this feature and discover how it can help your company achieve its goals, don’t hesitate to contact LightOn. We’d be happy to provide a personalized demo and discuss how we can help your business succeed.
